Each Thursday at 7pm we work with Worthing Soup Kitchen to welcome a growing number of the homeless community from our area. This is a chance to share a hot meal and find respite from the elements outside.

This all began with three inspirational ladies who were cooking a meal every week and serving homeless people out of the boot of their car in the rain. Our Curate at the time invited them to use the church and the Soup Run became the Worthing Soup Kitchen. St Matthew's is delighted to host this inspirational community group and provide volunteers to open up our building and help. If you would like to find out more, please visit the soup kitchen facebook site.

There is also a monthly meal in our church rooms for those who have moved into temporary accommodation.
