Here you will find details of the serving roles we currently have available and the people to contact to get involved!

We’re always on the look out for new ideas and while not every idea will be formally supported by St Matthew’s, we encourage you to pray and dream about how you can serve our town.

Service Support

There is a lot to organise on a Sunday and we love to have different people involved. From welcomers to musicians, coffee and tech team, it is a great blessing to have a group of people who help make our services happen.

Guidance and training can be given as required.

Catering

Quite a lot of our groups and activities have food at the core! As such, we need a number of different people in different roles to help us maintain this great welcome!

Could you be part of our catering team for large meals?

Perhaps you could bake cakes for our Sparklers group?

Maybe you could occasionally make a meal to go with courses like Alpha.

Music and Tech

Our music team lead worship at our services and the tech team enable high quality streaming, sound and visuals to enhance our worship. Is this something you could help with?

You don’t need to have the skill already, we can teach willing people!

Coffee on the Corner

Coffee on the Corner is our community cafe, open to all to come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee (and cake!) and spend time chatting to other people.

We would love to have people available to serve and chat to people as this exciting ministry grows.

Tuesday and Wednesday Mornings. 9:30-12.

Youth and Children’s work

Children and young people are important. They are developing and finding their own way in the world. We want to help them and offer them a way to reflect on a life of faith. We have groups running during the day, afterschool and in the evenings so plenty of variety!

Works Teams

Are you good with wood? Electrics? Gardening? Odd jobs?

We are always on the look out for people with the ability to fix, replace or maintain things around our site. This is not necessarily a regular commitment but arranged as and when things come up.
